Happy October, Beautiful!

This is my favorite time of year. There’s something about the final few months that causes me to reflect, refocus, and ask myself: How do I want to finish?

As I prepare to finish strong in my own business, I’m reminded that it takes courage to do the work we’ve been called to do. Life will bring challenges. Plans will change. Things we never expected will happen.

But our divine assignment doesn’t disappear simply because life gets hard.

So, this month, I want you to answer one question clearly: What is my divine assignment in this season of my life—and am I willing to step forward BIG to fulfill it?

If your answer is YES, then you and I are going to do just that. I’ve been thinking about my late client, Jerome. He came to me nearly four years ago with an idea. Together, we connected his story to the message and work he knew he was born to carry. I gave him a game plan, and he followed it.

Our strategy wasn’t about chasing followers or becoming popular on social media. It was about assignment, alignment, impact, and execution.

In our first year together, while still working a full-time job, Jerome built a six-figure business. He went on to use his story for a TED Talk; he walked into rooms he never knew existed. Last year, even while seriously ill and fighting for his life, his business generated $2.5 million because we put systems in place.

Our last session was in February. Jerome passed away on April 29. But he left knowing he had fulfilled something meaningful. His work had touched lives around the world, and he was passionate about helping Black and Brown children see themselves in STEM and preparing them to fill opportunities in that field.

Jerome reminded me of something I never want to forget: We don’t know how much time we have. But while we are here, we can answer the call.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing advisory strategies with you to help you elevate your work and move into your next level. Some of that will require letting go of fear. Some of it may require doing things differently.

And some of it will simply require doing it scared. Some people need what you carry. I want to leave this life empty—knowing I poured out what I came here to give. Jerome did that. And having the privilege of advising him changed me, too. Now, let’s finish strong.

One important Inner Circle update: We are moving back to 1:00 PM ET on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. I’ve realized that evenings simply aren’t ideal for many visionary women. By evening, life is happening. So please note our new time.
